Information sharing seminar and discussion between General Customs Agency and FIU-Mongolia was organized

The FIU-Mongolia cooperates with related authorities in order to carry out its functions specified in the AML/CFT Law of Mongolia, including the customs authority in accordance with Articles 15 and 16 of the law.

In order to improve the cooperation and quality of information exchange, representatives of Electronic Clearance Center, the Anti-Smuggling Department and the Risk Management Department of the General Customs Agency provided information for the FIU-Mongolia employees about the scope of their activities, collected information and measures they take on April 18, 2024.

Also, on this occasion, FIU-Mongolia and Customs discussed AML/CFT related cooperation issues and difficulties faced, as well as the necessary measures for further cooperation enhancement.

In the future, the FIU-Mongolia plans to continue meeting and discussion with other authorities in order to improve domestic cooperation, information exchange and coordination in the field of combating money laundering and terrorism financing.
