Training on “Mongolia’s Mutual Evaluation and the Judiciary” Conducted
The Financial Information Unit organized a training and discussion session on “Mongolia’s Mutual Evaluation and the Judiciary” for judges of district-level criminal and civil courts on May 23, 2025. The session focused on the role of the judiciary in Mongolia’s upcoming Mutual Evaluation.
During the training, the Financial Information Unit delivered presentations on the following topics:
- The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations and standards;
- The results of Mongolia’s Mutual Evaluation and National Risk Assessment;
- Mongolia’s anti-money laundering framework and the role of the judiciary;
- The role of the Financial Information Unit within the AML/CFT system.
In addition, an interactive discussion was held among participants to exchange views on judges’ experiences in adjudicating money laundering cases, challenges encountered in practice, and potential measures to address these issues going forward.
